My name is Zoe Spock and I am 21 years old. I graduated from University College Utrecht, in Holland, last June. I majored in Neuroscience and Biology and minored in Psychology.
I am French- American and grew up in Nice, France.
I speak three languages fluently (French, English and German) as well as some Spanish and Dutch. I am very excited to be a part of this program and to share my linguistic knowledge and love of languages with my students, and I hope they will enjoy this year as much as I will! I am grateful for this opportunity and I know I will have a wonderful time at San Juan Evangelista.
Best,
Zoe[/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=»Patrick» tab_id=»1538125044931-fb7f8703-c8fa»][vc_column_text]Hi everyone! My name is Patrick Mykoda, I‘m 28 years old and from Germany, where I grew up in the very rural but beautiful South. After finishing my German „Bachillerato“ and working one year in a homeless shelter as an alternative to the military service, I decided that it was time to leave the comfort zone of „home“ and to go abroad. I spent several months travelling around Scotland and the rest of the UK where I could improve my English skills and gain an idea of the life on the other side of the channel.
When I came back I wanted to do something that meets my passion for languages, which is why I studied English and Russian translation at the university of Mainz. After finishing my degree, however, I realized that a desk job as a translator wasn‘t what I wanted. Looking for an alternative I got into teaching and started to work as a German teacher in an official integration course. This turned out to be an absolutely fantastic experience, but at some point the „Wanderlust“ returned and so I packed my bags to go abroad once again.
I‘m very happy that now I have the opportunity to spend the next school year as a language assistant at the Colegio SJE. I hope I can pass on a bit of my knowledge to the students and also learn a lot from them of course![/vc_column_text][/vc_tta_section][vc_tta_section title=»Carly » tab_id=»1538125047986-795d0662-8fa9″][vc_column_text]
